Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has made international headlines for his jackpot divorce settlement that included a $105 million villa. His wife Veronica Lario agreed to an out-of-court divorce settlement that includes the villa and a monthly maintenance of $375,000. However, what has also been brought to light is the billionaire's infatuation with surrounding himself colleagues and cabinet members that would put a Maxim Magazine photo spread to shame.
Let's start with Berlusconi's personal circle of acquaintances:
Noemi Letizia is the 18-year old family friend that the Prime Minister gave a gold necklace to on her birthday. The two have a very close relationship and Noemi calls Berlusconi a second father. Unfortunately, Berlusconi's wife publicly criticized the birthday appearance by pointing out he never attended the 18th birthdays of any of their three children.
Aida Yespica is a 26-year-old Venezuelan model and Italian TV celebrity who has been close to Berlusconi over the past few years. The Prime Minister reportedly told her publicly, “With you I would go anywhere, even a desert island.”
Francesca Dellera is an Italian actress rumored to have a relationship with Berlusconi and reportedly told a friend that the Prime Minister wanted to give her a mink coat as a gift.
Of course we can't leave out Berlusconi's wife of 19 years who he has had three children with. Veronica Lario is a 53-year-old former actress who looks like she can still be a knock-out model to this day.
Now for Berlusconi's high-powered group of "Glamour-ready" politicians:
Mara Carfagna is the former topless model who serves as the Italian leader's minister for equal opportunity. Carfagna was a finalist in the Miss Italy beauty pageant and has been ranked by Maxim magazine as the "World’s Hottest Politician." It didn't help matters much when Berlusconi jokingly proposed marriage at a televised awards show. Like a good politician, Carfagna responded to the proposal by saying, “I'd have said yes straight away but he's married and he's not my age.”
Michela Vittoria Brambilla is the minister for tourism for Berlusconi's political party and rumored to be the Prime Minister's eventual successor. Brambilla is also a former beauty queen and television reporter for a Berlusconi-owned TV station.
Gabriella Carlucci is currently a deputy for Forza Italia. She is also a former showgirl and television personality. Carlucci was first elected to the House of Representatives during the 2001 parliamentary elections.
Stefania Prestigiacomo was appointed to the post of minister for the environment by the playboy billionaire in 2008. The 36-year-old businesswoman was first elected to the House of Representatives as member of the Forza Italia party in 1994.
Eleonora Gaggioli was promoted by Berlusconi as one of the "fresh faces" of his political party. The 31-year-old Gaggioli is also a famous TV celebrity and a law graduate.
Barbara Matera was supported by Berlusconi as an Italian representative to the EU parliament. The 28-year-old Matera is also a former Miss Italy contestant and television personality. The Prime Minister endorsed Matera's election to the parliament saying, "I want young faces, new faces, to renew the image of Italy and the PdL in Europe."
It is important to note that Prime Minister Berlusconi has not necessarily been romantically linked with any of the aforementioned women. However, "Silvio's Angels" have been a recurring bone of contention with his wife of 19 years. Soon to be ex-wife Veronica Lario has publicly chided Berlusconi for his political selections and social calls.
What do you think? Is the Italian Prime Minister using his political position to build his private harem, as suggested by his wife? Tell us!
