Unemployment Down???

Christina Romer, the Chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers is saying that the unemployment figures are dropping. I keep hearing conflicting numbers regarding this and in my area I don't see that there are any jobs available still. I wish someone would put the real truth out there.
